Kelly Vander Pol, an incoming freshman at Maranatha Christian High in San Diego representing North County Pole Vault Club, cleared four personal bests to place third at 10-8.75 (3.27m) in the women's intermediate section at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine Stars and Stripes Big Red Barn Meet in Sun City, Calif. Vander Pol cleared 9-3 (2.82m), 9-9 (2.97m) and 10-2.75 (3.12m), before finishing in a tie with three other vaulters at 10-8.75, but earning the third-place tiebreaker based on fewer attempts.
