Recent Kentucky transfer Keaton Daniel, the Nevada state record holder at Coronado High who previously attended Fresno Pacific, cleared a lifetime-best 18-1 (5.51m) to place fourth in the men's elite section at the Vaulter Club Vaulter Magazine Stars and Stripes Big Red Barn Meet in Sun City, Calif. Daniel had cleared 18 feet (5.48m) indoors in January at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit in Reno, Nev. His previous-best outdoor clearance was 17-6 (5.33m) at the NAPVA Championships at last year's street vault in Clovis, Calif.
